The campaign’s mission is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. In 1961, President John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order 10927 creating the campaign and in its 60 years of existence Federal workers have donated more than $8.6 billion to thousands of local and national charitable organizations.
