After years trapped in a laboratory and subjected to painful, invasive experiments, 55 beagles were discarded like trash—unwanted and abandoned. But their story doesn’t end there. These survivors are finally out of the lab and in a safe, temporary holding facility. They’re out—but they’re not yet home.
At Beagle Freedom Project, we are working around the clock to change that. Right now, our team is preparing to bring the first 30 beagles to Freedom Fields, our sanctuary in the U.S. designed to provide safety, comfort, and care for rescued animals. But we can’t do it alone.
We’ve made it this far because of people like you. And we need your help now more than ever to bring all 55 home.
What Your Support Makes Possible
🩺 Medical Care
From their first moments out of the lab to long after they arrive at Freedom Fields, these dogs require extensive veterinary support. Many are dealing with untreated conditions, trauma, and years of neglect. Your donation helps fund every exam, every treatment, and every step toward a healthier future.
✈️ International Transport
Bringing these dogs to safety isn’t as simple as booking a flight. It’s a complex operation involving permits, transport crates, vet documentation, and ground teams in multiple countries. Your support helps cover the cost of flights, transport to the U.S., and safe delivery to our Los Angeles HQ, foster homes, and Freedom Fields.

🏡 Safe Housing & Rehabilitation
These dogs have never known a soft bed, a safe place to rest, or a kind touch. We’re building trauma-informed living spaces to meet their unique needs—quiet recovery areas, cozy bedding, nutritious food, and staff trained to help them adjust and heal. From toys to treats, they’ll experience love for the first time.
More Ways to Support the 55
❤️ Volunteer at Freedom Fields
Volunteers are the heart of healing. Whether it’s offering a gentle touch, walking leash-shy dogs, or simply being present as they learn to play, volunteers show these beagles what care truly looks like. Want to be part of that transformation? Learn more about volunteering.
🏠 Foster or Adopt
A forever home—or even a temporary one—can change everything. When you foster or adopt, you become the first real family these dogs have ever had. Are you ready to open your heart and your home? Learn more about fostering or adopting »
