Neil & Cloud

Hi friends we are new to Freedom Fields, and we wanted to share our journey with you!

Our names are Cloud and Nell, and we are best friends. We were saved by Beagle Freedom Project and now we get to learn how to be dogs.

That sounds silly because we are dogs, but our whole lives we were kept in cold, hard cages and we never were allowed to do the things that other dogs get to do. Here is our story…

When we first came to Freedom Fields, we were very scared. We were 9 and 11 years old and all we had ever known was living in a cage, so everything was new to us, but also super scary.

We had never played outside on grass, never had toys, never had treats, and never even had names! Well, BFP changed that and now everyone calls us by our new names – Nell and Cloud – and we love them!

On one of our first days at Freedom Fields, we went to a big room with funny things we had never seen before – the people told us they were toys, what are toys, we were confused.

Cloud was not as scared and she started playing with the toys– I was still nervous, but watching Cloud made me see how much fun she was having, and I wanted to try it too…

Sometimes trying new things is scary – do you get scared? But guess what…toys are so much fun!!! Once we started playing with all our new toys – we did not want to stop!

Freedom is having a name, feeling safe and loved…oh and having toys, lots of toys!
