UPDATE (7/15/25) — Some of the beagles rescued from inhumane conditions in Rogers County are under care with the Beagle Freedom Project until they are ready for adoption.

Beagle Freedom Project said they welcomed the dogs, that need more help before adoption, into their care at Freedom Fields.

The dogs are part of a rescue of 148 beagles saved by Human Society of Tulsa, the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture and the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office.

The beagles were rescued from heartbreaking conditions such as filthy kennels, untreated injuries and complete neglect.

Beagle Freedom Project said the dogs are now receiving much-needed veterinary care. One of the beagles has a suspected untreated broken leg and most of them have severe dental disease, ear infections or other medical issues that need urgent attention.

All of the beagles will be ready for adoption, but first need time to heal.

Beagle Freedom Project asks the public to consider donating to help provide the care the dogs deserve.
