It has been one year since Beagle Freedom Project successfully shut down a toxicity animal testing laboratory in Oklahoma, rescuing hundreds of dogs and cats who had endured unimaginable cruelty.
Dogs who had never experienced affection or played with toys, and cats who had never felt sunlight on their fur, finally knew freedom. One unforgettable moment was watching rescued cats take their first cautious steps into our new Catio, rolling joyfully in the grass under the sun. Today, these cats relax on window perches in rooms filled with fresh air—spaces that once contained nothing but cages and darkness.
Many of the dogs we rescued have found loving forever homes. For those awaiting adoption, we continue renovations, transforming former laboratory buildings into comfortable dog suites designed for healing and comfort.
We are thrilled to announce the completion of our new Cat Café! Thanks to Nathan the Cat Lady, “Nathan’s Cat Lady Lounge” is nearly ready to open its doors. Visitors can soon schedule appointments to unwind with rescued cats while enjoying beverages and delicious vegan pastries.

Our “Open Hearts Senior Center” is also nearly finished—a cozy, peaceful sanctuary designed specifically for senior dogs. Away from noise and activity, these beloved seniors will enjoy comforts such as orthopedic beds, fireplaces, and stairs leading to soft couches, helping them comfortably transition to forever homes.
None of this would have been possible without your unwavering support. Thank you for standing with us in this historic transformation—from laboratory to sanctuary, rehabilitation center, and soon-to-be education center. Your continued commitment helps us ensure more animals experience the lives they deserve.

Farm animals rescued from testing facilities now enjoy open spaces, ponds, and new barns at Freedom Fields. Many people don’t realize that animal testing affects dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, pigs, goats, and alpacas. All of these animals are now safe, enjoying lives filled with freedom, playtime, love and care.
