Monthly Sniffs – Alfie
Hi everyone my name is Alfie and I live at Freedom Fields. I want to tell you all about me – why I am here, and how I spend my days.
I used to live at a facility that tested on animals. Alpacas are used for our blood, but it was scary and I didn’t like sharp needles taking my blood. I was scared of people because I thought that all the people were going to hurt me.
Then BFP saved me and brought me to Freedom Fields. At first, I was scared because everything was so new and I did not trust people. I felt scared and lonely.
The people at Freedom Fields were nice to me, but I did not know if I would ever make any friends. Then one day they told me, “Quarantine is over Alfie, now you can meet your new friends.” I went to a new area with lots of grass and… Friends! Goats, horses, pigs and could it be, other alpacas!
Now my days are so fun, I am surrounded by people who love me and take care of me. They make sure I am safe and loved and well fed – I even get treats. I have so many new friends and so much space to run and play and best of all I do not have to be scared anymore, no one wants to hurt me. Thanks to Beagle Freedom Project, I am now safe.
