Monthly Sniffs – Penelope
Happy February everyone, my name is Penelope and I live at Freedom Fields in Oklahoma. I want to tell you all about ME and how I spend my days with all my friends.
I was rescued by BFP and saved from a sad and lonely life of living in an apartment. The person who I lived with before had bought me because they thought I was a “micro pig”, but I grew big and then they didn’t think I was cute anymore. Luckily for me, BFP rescued me, and I came to live at Freedom Fields.
Now that I am safe, I get to run around in a big field and greet all my new friends. Monty is one of my best friends at Freedom Fields. Monty and I both love the same things – playing in the straw, getting dirty and eating snacks! Eating makes me so happy my tail swishes from side to side.
Most days we like to eat, play, nap, and repeat! However, February has been a busy month at Freedom Fields.
On February 13th it was our two-year anniversary, so we had lots of friends come and we had a party – I got a lot of attention which I love. I thought that would be the best day ever, but I was wrong; something even better was on the way – Valentine’s Day!
The day after the party was Valentine’s Day – and what a great day! The team at Freedom Fields made sure that we all knew how much we were loved – and for me that means a Valentine’s Day salad. Ms. Debbie cut all my treats up in fancy shapes, and I got to wear a special headband – I looked beautiful.
I wish it could be Valentine’s Day every day, but something that we do have every day is our freedom and our friends – and that makes me so happy.
