Vivian’s Monthly Sniffs
Hi friends – my name is Vivian, and I want to tell you all about my adventures at Freedom Fields. September has been a very busy month for me.
Every day I get to play with friends at our amazing dog park – imagine having your very own park right in your yard- I love it! My favorite thing to do is run around and sniff all the amazing smells and roll in the grass. After spending my whole life locked in a tiny cage just being able to run and roll is so much fun!
The only problem with running and rolling in the dirt and grass is that I get dirty…VERY dirty. Summertime in Oklahoma can get hot and sticky and it also rains, which makes a lot of mud! Now I love mud, but the staff at Freedom Fields who take great care of me – do not! That means that after I get done running and rolling all around, one of my human friends gets the fun job of giving me a bath! I love being fresh and clean after my bath- but sometimes at bathtime I get scared -the water is loud, and I am still learning to trust people. The people I lived with before kept me in a cage and were not nice to me, so even though I am safe now thanks to BFP…sometimes when I think about it, I remember and get scared.
After my bath as I was going back to my room, they told me that there was a special surprise for me. This made me so excited that I could not get to sleep – I love surprises – do you?
The next day when I had finished my yummy breakfast, I was taken to the office at Freedom Fields. I was a little nervous because it is just like a doctor’s office. I was given an exam and even though everyone here is so kind and gentle I was a little bit scared. They checked my ears, eyes and teeth and made sure I was all up to date on my vaccinations…was this the surprise? “Good job Vivian, you are all ready for your new home,” the nice lady said.

MY NEW HOME?
The next day while I was outside playing with my friends a car pulled into the Freedom Field’s parking lot, I was so excited, was this car going to take me to my new home?
I met a nice human and after saying goodbye to all my friends and getting hugs from all the staff who love me and took such great care of me, I got into the car and left for my new home. It was a long car ride, but I loved it – especially with the window open. When I got to my new home my new mom gave me a yummy treat, and my own soft, cozy bed. Thank you for saving me BFP – I’m home now.
