MEET PHOENIX, just rescued in China from an extremely abusive background. We believe that whoever had abused Phoenix was attempting to behead him, possibly using him for dog meat.

Phoenix is approximately 2 years old. He is very sweet and loving, making it a possibility he was once someone’s beloved met like so many other dogs that are stolen and captured for the meat trade. Phoenix loves other animals and is great with dogs! He is confident, loving and resilient even after all the abuse and cruelty he was subjected to.

Phoenix is currently under medical care while he is in his foster home. He has had to undergo extensive tests and surgery to ensure he is healing properly. Phoenix would love to be adopted to a home with another dog(s) and fenced in backyard. He loves to be able to go outside and enjoy the warm sun!
