Ronin
Ronin was rescued from animal testing but he doesn't hold it against humans. He's around 2 years old and adores everyone around him. Ronin especially loves car rides and treats, and he never misses a chance to make new doggy friends. He alerts with a door bell when he needs to go potty - he learned this in less than 24 hours! read more
Brad Pittie
Brad Pittie was found in the woods very sick and newly blind. He was clearly an outdoor dog previously, as he was scared to even step off grass and onto hard floor surfaces at first. Since being in a loving home, he has blossomed. read more

Bear
Meet BEAR. Beagle Freedom Project rescued Bear in the nick of time from a high-kill shelter in southern California. Bear is approximately 4 years old but has the energy of a 1 year old. He is very sweet and playful, and is the smartest beagle around. He knows sit, down, and speak and loves to show off his tricks to anyone willing to watch. read more
'They are living, breathing creatures': EPA plans to eliminate animal testing
LINCOLNTON, N.C. – The Environmental Protection Agency plans to phase out animal testing by 2025 and completely eliminate it by 2035. The Beagle Freedom Project in Lincolnton has rescued more than 2,500 animals by changing the laws in 11 states and asking companies to give the animals to them after testing is done. Eyewitness News reporter Ken Lemon talked to the vice president of the organization, April Arrington, who said they are enthusiastic about the EPA’s decision. EPA announces Animal Testing phase out
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that it will drastically reduce animal testing with a hopeful phase out by 2035. While this is a huge stride in the right direction, BFP remains cautiously optimistic. We know this decision will not come without a fight.
