The Weekday Warriors
Because of incredible supporters like YOU, Beagle Freedom Project was able to rescue SEVEN animal testing survivors last week. These seven sweet rabbits deemed ‘The Weekday Warriors’ now get the chance to feel sunlight on their fur and touch grass for the very first time. After their time in the laboratory, they were handed over to BFP to begin a new life. read more

River
We rescued River from a shelter in South Carolina. An officer found him lying next to the road begging someone to help him! We took him straight to emergency veterinary care, where he has remained in ICU. He is extremely emaciated with open wounds containing maggots. Somebody neglected him for years, and he has the symptoms to show for it. We will do everything we can to help River on his road to recovery.

Mini + Maria are blind, animal testing survivors. For years, these senior, blind beagles experienced pain, isolation, cruelty and neglect. When we saw the deplorable conditions they were living in, we stepped in to secure their release. If you happen to visit Shannon Keith’s Los Angeles office, there’s a good chance you’ll meet a gray-and-white cat named Amelia. As the resident office cat, Amelia doesn’t give visitors much choice. “She’s like the queen of the office,” Keith tells MNN. “She greets everybody.” It wasn’t always like that. In fact, when Amelia arrived at the Beagle Freedom Project just a few months ago, the first thing she did was find a hiding place. Because, you see, for much of Amelia’s life, human hands were wrapped in white gloves.…

Gaia
